Having spent just short of a year in Germany since joining Bayern Munich from Tottenham last season, star striker Kane has been learning the local language for a while. However, the 30-year-old striker still has some progress to make going by his latest press conference.

Kane and Southgate were asked if they know the German term for "European champion" as they gear up for their Euro 2024 semi-final clash against Netherlands, but Kane said: "No, I don't".
Southgate then admitted to his lack of German, saying: "I know how to turn right at the underground station."

Kane and Three Lions manager Southgate may get out their English-German dictionaries to look up the term if they overpower Netherlands on Wednesday and secure their place in the Euro 2024 final. A win against the Dutch will see them go on to face either France or Spain in the final.
