Slot set to take charge of RedsKlopp backs quality of the squadChange good for the playersWHAT HAPPENED?
The Reds have been in poor form over recent weeks, mustering just one win from the last five Premier League outings. Their title challenge has collapsed as a result, but Klopp is adamant that things still look promising at Liverpool and success can be achieved quickly when Arne Slot arrives as manager.

While not yet officially confirmed, Slot is all set to succeed Klopp at Anfield after an impressive spell in charge of Feyenoord – where he won the 2022/23 Eredivisie title. The Dutchman will not arrive at a club in disarray and can attempt to make his adjustment to life in England even easier by assisting the board in weaving some magic in the transfer window.
WHAT KLOPP SAID
Klopp told Sky Sports: "Of course, it's not perfect as if it was we'd have five or six points more and would still be fighting for the league," he said. "But if you rewind to the start of the season, I called it Liverpool 2.0… Liverpool 2.0 doesn't stop after I leave. It's just the start of another project with a really good squad."
The German added: "It's good for the players now not to know what to expect. It's good that they have to prove themselves again with new influences. It's always good in life. We always go for security, the same holiday, the same hotel and the same spot on the beach. But actually, it makes sense to go to another beach as well."

The upcoming fixtures against Tottenham, Aston Villa and Wolves will serve as farewells for Klopp after seven years at Liverpool. But while the German's future has been sorted, more focus will be on Mohamed Salah's as the winger's contract expires at the end of next season. He has been linked with a move away from Anfield and if he were to depart, it would present Slot with a big problem to solve.
