Two of Leeds’ players weren’t at Thorp Arch on Wednesday morning.
Indeed, Jean-Kevin Augustin and Ian Poveda crossed the Pennines for a trip to visit the Manchester Institute of Health and Performance.
It’s unknown what the pair were doing there, but with questions being raised about Augustin’s condition we can assume that they’ve headed over to the ground-breaking facility to improve some part of their fitness.
Augustin posted a snap of Poveda laughing, and the former Man City man was quick to repost it on his story.
Now, usually this would be something of an innocuous post, but the fact that the Frenchman checked himself and the winger in at the Institute of Health and Performance is quite interesting.
This is a state of the art facility used by many athletes at the top of their game, with the likes of Anthony Crolla, Lutalo Muhammad and Carl Frampton using it to give them the edge in their respective fields.
Hopefully, Leeds’ new signings will benefit from their trip to Manchester, and if not it still seems like it’s been quite a decent bonding opportunity for the pair as they seem more than happy on social media.
In other news, Leeds may forever live to regret not completing this signing in 2018.
