Since the miss, Saka has developed into one of the best wingers in the world and scored 12 of 13 penalties taken for the Gunners. After the game, Saka was asked if he felt pressure taking a penalty after his last effort for the Three Lions.

Asked about the pressure, Saka said: "I think for me, it's something I embrace. You can fail once, but you have a choice whether you will put yourself in that position or not again. I am a guy who is going to put myself in that position and I believed in myself. When I saw hit the back of the net, I was a very happy man."

Saka will play for the Three Lions against the Netherlands in Tuesday's semi-final and will aim to replicate Saturday's performance against the Oranje. There had been calls for Saka to be put to left-back but few will expect him to line-up anywhere other than on the right-wing against the Dutch.
