Saka praised for interviewArsenal winger scored equaliser and penaltyEngland to face the NetherlandsWHAT HAPPENED?
Saka was superb for England throughout the game and scored an impressive solo-effort to equalise just five minutes after Switzerland had opened the scoring through Breel Embolo. The Arsenal winger then stepped up to take the third spot kick in the shootout and tucked it calmly into the bottom-right corner. England won the shootout 5-3 and progressed to a semi-final against the Netherlands.

In the one previous penalty Saka has taken for England, he missed. Aged just 19 at the time, Saka took and missed the final, decisive penalty against Italy in the final of Euro 2020 and suffered a tirade of abhorrent abuse on social media. Since the miss, Saka has developed into one of the best wingers in the world and scored 12 of 13 penalties taken for the Gunners. After the game, Saka was asked if he felt pressure taking a penalty after his last effort for the Three Lions.
WHAT SAKA SAID
Asked about the pressure, Saka said: "I think for me, it's something I embrace. You can fail once, but you have a choice whether you will put yourself in that position or not again. I am a guy who is going to put myself in that position and I believed in myself. When I saw hit the back of the net, I was a very happy man."

Saka will play for the Three Lions against the Netherlands in Tuesday's semi-final and will aim to replicate Saturday's performance against the Oranje. There had been calls for Saka to be put to left-back but few will expect him to line-up anywhere other than on the right-wing against the Dutch.
